4 Steps To

Reducing Teacher Burnout using the Science of Learning

On-Demand Mini Course

Find out how all students can succeed in your class without additional workload with this evidence-based, sustainable teaching framework for English, ESL/EAL and Humanities. Get the step by step plan that shows you where to put your energy so that you can achieve more with less.

Are You Ready To Find More Balance In Your Life?

Do you feel burnt-out and overwhelmed as a teacher?

Do you wonder if sustainable teaching is even possible?

Do you have EAL/ESL students, low literacy students or students with learning difficulties in your class that cause you to spend HOURS trying to find resources or differentiating your classes for them?

As teachers we often blame our burnout on all the administrative requirements of our job. Or we think that if only we had more resources from others, we would be less stressed. Framing burnout in this way is disempowering because the solution relies on other people. What if I told you that sustainable teaching was possible and you can achieve it without external assistance? What if by changing the way you teach, you could reduce your burnout and stress?

We have all heard of Tomlinson’s differentiation by product, process, content or learning environment. We bust our guts trying to meet each student at their point of need. What if I told you that cognitive science and the Science of Reading provide us with a framework for creating curriculum and lessons that are automatically differentiated, with no extra work by you?

Join me in this mini-course to learn an evidence-based 4 step framework that reduces teacher burnout and ensures you are well on your way to preparing differentiated, high impact lessons in a short period of time.

The 4 Steps will help you…

  • Feel focused in your planning.
  • Feel confident to support students with extra needs WITHOUT extra work.
  • Be less stressed and more in control of your workload.
  • Have a teaching framework in place to make life easier – one you can apply for every class and every year.

Who is Kaja?

Kaja Strzalka

I have a Masters in Education from Deakin University in Melbourne Victoria where I specialised in teaching English as an Additional Language. I am also a trained phonics instructor and trained in the Writing Revolution Method. Through presenting whole school professional learning and supporting teachers in the classroom, I saw the issues that were present in our teaching practice.

I started my journey as a Teach for Australia Associate teaching in disadvantaged schools. I became obsessed with finding what would work in the classroom and how to support my beautiful students who were struggling. At the same time, I focused on developing effective and sustainable teaching practices so that I only needed to work 8am-5pm with no weekend work.

I know that my strategies and professional development will put you on the path to more sustainable and joyful teaching.
